In this blog we bring you a soup that we\u2019ve all been fond of since our childhood. Probably, the best known of soups and the most consumed. Topped with some fresh cream and a crunchy crouton it\u2019s a foodie heaven. We introduced this version to some children at a school and they loved it! We won too we got them to have a fair share of their daily intake of healthy vegetables minus the \u2018Fuss\u2019. Brings back childhood memories, eh! Now why don\u2019t you make this for you children or for yourself and join us in this journey to the Passion called Food.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-4 vc_col-has-fill\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner vc_custom_1556701913750\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<ol>\n<li>Cream of Tomato Soup \u2013 Ingredients<\/li>\n<li>1Kg Tomatoes, ripe<\/li>\n<li>4Tbsp Olive Oil<\/li>\n<li>1 Onion, medium, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 Carrot, peeled &amp; diced<\/li>\n<li>1 Celery stick, peeled &amp; diced<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd Courgette, diced<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd Red Pepper, diced<\/li>\n<li>2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>2Tbsp Tomato Puree<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd Cup Basil, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar<\/li>\n<li>600ml Vegetable Stock<\/li>\n<li>1Tbsp Sugar<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc Tsp Black Pepper, ground<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc Tsp Salt<\/li>\n<li>2Tbsp Double Cream<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-8\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner vc_custom_1556701855703\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<ol>\n<li>Bring to boil a pot of water.<\/li>\n<li>Cut an \u2018X\u2019 on the tomato, and blanch in the boiling water for about a minute and immediately plunge into ice cold water. Then peel the skin and chop the tomatoes.<\/li>\n<li>In a pan put oil and saut\u00e9 the onion, carrot, celery, courgette, red pepper and garlic. Saut\u00e9 for about 2-3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Now add the tomato pur\u00e9e and cook for another 2-3 minutes taking care not to burn it. Add the chopped tomato.<\/li>\n<li>Now add the vegetable stock and all the other ingredients, except the Double cream.<\/li>\n<li>Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Blend to a fine puree and serve with Bread and a swirl of double cream.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Journey called Food \u2013 my soup trail\u2026 Soup has always been my comfort food, the bowl I could fall back on, when I need my palate to be awakened.
