It\u2019s the BIG 10 and today\u2019s recipe is completely inspired by Aunty Bridget White-Kumar, the best Anglo-Indian chef in the world. Her recipes are really great and easy to do. So, last evening, after my dad and I had a chat with her on Facebook Live, we asked her if she had a rum ball recipe that we could use for our ongoing \u201c12 Days of Christmas with TTM &amp; Family\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>The recipe she gave us was really easy and didn\u2019t take that long to make. One change at our end was adding coconut. Now coconut represents the Christmas snow and rum is the warmth of the season. After making this and having a chat with her I understood why my dad calls her the \u2018queen of Anglo-Indian food\u2019. But anyway, enough from me. Let\u2019s see what Auntie Bridget has to say.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>\u201cRum balls are a truffle-like confection of sweet, dense cake or biscuit material flavoured with chocolate and rum. They are roughly the size of a golf ball and often coated in chocolate sprinkles, desiccated coconut, or cocoa. Rum Balls are rich in flavour and have a fudgy texture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>Rum balls are one of the Christmas season\u2019s easiest and most delicious treats. Fruit cakes are normally used as they are already packed with fruits, nuts and spices. However, chocolate cake or vanilla cake could also be used. The Rum balls can also be made with digestive biscuits instead of cake.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-4 vc_col-has-fill\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner vc_custom_1556701913750\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udc49 Rum Balls<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>300 grams Fruitcake (or chocolate or vanilla cake)<\/li>\n<li>100 grams Icing sugar for binding and rolling<\/li>\n<li>3 or 4 tablespoons condensed milk<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n<li>4 tablespoons dark rum<\/li>\n<li>Cocoa powder for dusting<\/li>\n<li>Chocolate sprinkles or desiccated coconut for decoration (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-8\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner vc_custom_1556701855703\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf84 Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<ol>\n<li>Crumble the cake into smooth crumbs without lumps<\/li>\n<li>Mix the butter and condenses milk with the cake crumbs and Rum and mix well<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate for 20 minutes if the mixture is too runny or until just firm enough to handle<\/li>\n<li>Take small portions of the mixture and roll into balls using the icing sugar to bind them<\/li>\n<li>Now roll the balls in the cocoa powder to coat them well<\/li>\n<li>You can serve the rum balls like this or coat them with Chocolate sprinkles or desiccated coconut for decoration (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Place each Rum Ball in mini muffin cups<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate till required to serve<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83c\udf81 Hey guys!
